Resort Closure Dec 24 to Dec 27

Dear Shareholders,

I hope you are all doing well. Please be advised that the resort will close at 12:00 p.m. on December 24 and reopen on the morning of December 27. This brief closure will allow our staff time to relax and enjoy the holidays with their families.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, joyful, and Happy Holiday season!

Warm regards,
Teresa Nielsen, Vice-President

2026 Maintenance/Hydro Fee Invoices and new Gate Cards

Maintenance and Hydro Fee invoices for 2026 will be mailed to Shareholders in January.

If you are not sure we have your current mailing address, please email the board Secretary at spiderlakesecretary@gmail.com.

If you are paying via etransfer to the Treasurer at slsrtreasurer@gmail.com, please remember to add your name, site number and what the payment is for.

Included with the Maintenance and Hydro Fee invoice will be one gate card. Other gate cards will be distributed over the next few months. Shareholders are asked to return the old cards for reconciliation purposes. There will be no charge for new cards when you return old cards (maximum of 3 per site).

A Shareholders Information Form will also be provided with your invoice. It is mandatory that you bring this form with you regardless of previous submissions so we can re-populate our Shareholder details to help us keep our files up-to-date, and to receive any more gate cards.

The office will be staffed on weekends starting in early March to allow Shareholders to provide the Shareholders Information Form and collect gate cards and parking passes. Times will be scheduled in the new year.

New Resort Gate and Gate Cards

Our new park gate operating system has been installed, tested and is now operational.

This means that your current cards no longer work. Please retain your current gate cards, as useless as they are right now we are going to swap these one for one in the new year. So please DO NOT discard the old gate cards.

A plan is being developed to distribute new cards that are compatible with this new system and that’s going to take some time. Each card has to be programmed to a specific site and that’s not a quick nor an easy process. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated over the winter season while this transition is managed and completed.

The only real way to get access to the park right now is via the intercom at the gate on arrival. Our security staff needs to sleep just like we do so please do not buzz them for access prior to 8am and after 6PM. They will not respond and you will have to walk in. This is only fair and I request that you respect their time.

Neither Brian nor any of our staff will have access to your new gate cards and they will not be able to give them to you, so don’t waste your time bugging them or getting irate with them for not being in a position to help.

I will advise more once a plan has been developed for the mass exchange of new cards sometime in early 2026.

Thank you.

Regards

Kevin Baker, President, Spider Lake Springs Campers Association
