We are legally NOT PERMITTED to turn on the water until April 1st of each year.  In preparation to the legal water turn on, we must do several things which we do early in order to make sure that the water is tested perfect for our camping season!  The following are the dates and procedures for our water turn on.
On March 23rd the upper laundry will be locked and hot water tanks turned off along with all water to the washroom sinks.  Lower washrooms will not be open at all until a much later date.  (closer to our season opening)  The water will then be heavily chlorinated (to kill any bad bugs in our water lines).  We then walk the entire park turning on everyones water taps to get the chlorinated water in all water lines and at the same time checking all lines etc for breaks and/or leaks.  The chlorinated water will then sit in the lines until first thing in the morning of March 25th when we begin flushing all of the main lines in the park.  This normally takes about 4 hours.  Once that is done and the heavily chlorinated water is removed from the main lines, we turn the hot water back on and unlock the laundry.  Showering and sinks in the washrooms will also be turned back on at that time.  The water will not be tested until the middle of the following week so and mandatory boil water advisory will be in place until the water is tested and proven to be perfect for drinking.  At that time the boil water signs will be removed.  PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOU MUST BOIL WATER FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE DRINKING IT!!!!  Also please run the water in your trailer to remove the heavily chlorinated water from your lot water lines.  When the water is safe to drink, it’ll be posted on all bulletin boards, ou web page and as you come in the gate
